The Joy of Life!

Life. A gift. An amazing opportunity to be alive, enjoying the beauty and circumstances that flow from all that surrounds. A chance to serve. laugh. give. receive. impact. Living in the present. Trusting and being filled with peace. TRUE peace from within. Past events and memories not to consume. Future and forbearing left to be discovered as they melt into the present. Thankfulness for this moment.

STRESSED!

I don't think that I have been this stressed out in a LONG time...I forgot how terrible it feels. Yuck! Time for a run.

Sailing to Japan

I love the warmth of the day...and seeing people outside...playing, laughing, gardening... wonderful. So many thoughts that I could share because my life is full of adventure and fun and activities and craziness...but it is almost overwhelming to think of how to share it so I just want to talk about this afternoon.

I love my neighborhood kids and will miss them when I leave. They were waiting for me as I came home. Today was time for boating! (Finally...I found out boats ARE allowed on the pond! Yes!) Yuricho was so excited he couldn't stop running while smiling so BIG and as little lungs took turns to blow the row boat up... I tried a different sort of food...sweet beans as the dressing with white soft, stretchy and slimy disks underneath. The texture was unreal...and you had to try another...because it's like discovering a new color or new sense that you never knew existed.

So off we went...into the pond...life jackets and arm floaters...SPLASH! Don't worry...no one fell in...just the girls attempting to row for the first time...accidentally dumping water into the boat. Then we went in circles and more circles. So finally we were off to Japan (and as we rowed I tried to learn some Japanese so I'd be prepared...I learned "Hello", "Good bye" and "Green Onions"). We fought a shark...actually 1,001 of them and managed to make it back home in time for Yuricho to help my Mom finish planting her apple trees while Milka and Shun wanted to cook.

Throwing mud balls into the pond...sadly at my cousin...but he personally thought it was funny and used the boat as a shield. Running and screaming in the yard we played tag too.

Then a bonfire...yep...thick streams of yellow and red ate away at the tall grass ...my cousin Jeremy and I took turns lighting the fire and putting it out. And I ended the day going for ice cream with Sue, my Dad and Mom and Chris. So good. =0)

Oh yeah...these are just two random pictures from good memories over the past 2 weeks.

Busy!

Well...hmmm...I want to write and share what's been going on in my life, but it is SO busy right now that I barely have time to sit and type this quick note. I just got back from New Orleans, went to work and now I am off to Michigan!!!! So fun! Yay! I have many thoughts on New Orleans...but they will have to wait.
