The Joy of Life!

Life. A gift. An amazing opportunity to be alive, enjoying the beauty and circumstances that flow from all that surrounds. A chance to serve. laugh. give. receive. impact. Living in the present. Trusting and being filled with peace. TRUE peace from within. Past events and memories not to consume. Future and forbearing left to be discovered as they melt into the present. Thankfulness for this moment.

The past couple of weeks has been full of emotions both with tragdey and sorrow that makes your heart ache so much and causes you to constanly cry out to God for others and yet it has also been filled with so much happiness and adventures. That's what I want to share. Here are just a few....

Wishing a friend an amazing trip to half way around the world!!!!!

Saying hello to new faces and greeting old ones as well…Look how cute that baby is!!! So sweet!

Celebrating my wonderful sister’s Birthday…Happy B-Day Sakkie!

And spending some time with her…hot tub, "ice skating", walk and graffiti in the snow (only happy and nice messages though), and yah...the fire was toasty warm...then there was pizza and you know...our favorite show!!!! Yes!

Oh and let's not forget the craziness of the chocolate and the dog. Poor Sadie! What an adventure and now we have a yellow band to remember it by...or actually not...cause it probably got thrown away too...so I guess all we have is this picture. =0)

To sum it up all I can say is "Thank you God! Thank you for caring about me and giving me opportunities to have fun, learn, grown and mature."

Team...

Team spelled backwards. It shouldn't be that hard. Okay...here it goes...Maet...Maet...Maet!!! Yes! I got it!

It has been a crazy but good week with lessons all around. I'd share, but don't know where to begin so instead I am off to read my Bible and have some quality time with the One who never leaves my side. My heart is overflowing with thankfulness right now for the joys and blessings God has given me. Why? Because he does love me...but WOW...hard to comprehend at times and you know...he loves you too.

What is the name of that song?

Star 88.3 can be a fantastic radio station and yet sometimes...I think they play the same songs relentlessly and well...new ones or a wider variety would be enjoyable. The exception is when there is a song that connects with you, then it can't be played enough. I don't even know the title, but every time it comes on I am like "YES!" and turn up the radio super loud, almost deafening and sing along with it....the reframe says...(well I think this is what it says but since I often get lyrics messed up...I don't know for sure...)

"My Savior Loves, my Savior Lives, My Savior's always there for me.
My God He was, My God He is my God is always going to be!!!"

I joyously shout with it and know people are laughing if they are looking into my car cause my whole body moves too…especially my head. It's like a proclamation and encouragement all at the same time.

I am truly blessed. I have a God who is ALWAYS there for me and is not going anywhere (Deuteronomy 31:6). I can TRUST Him and depend on Him (Matthew 11:28, 1 Corinthian 10:13, James 1:5). He truly loves me unconditionally (Matthew 17:10-14, John 15:9, Romans 8) and I do not have to worry (Matthew 6:25-34). The best part of it all is Jesus is real. He is not a made up story like the Easter bunny. Jesus was a REAL human who breathed the molecules of air around us, he walked on the dirt and drank the water...he lived! (Luke 2, Matthew 8:25) But not only was he human and a "great moral teacher", but he was killed unjustly for me a sinner(John 19, Romans 5) and then...get this...HE REALLY came back to life (Mark 16, John 20)...cause he is God!!!! (Matthew 16:16) And I know him! Me...little me...how could it be? But yet it is. Wordless astonishment.
